About Sukhumvit Soi 22
Sukhumvit Soi 22 is one of the few sois that runs all the way through to Rama IV Road, which gives it a different rhythm from its dead-end neighbors: more through-traffic, more street life, and noticeably better value the deeper you go.
The soi is Phrom Phong's hotel corridor — the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park and Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit both sit here — so the area near the mouth has a steady flow of visitors, restaurants, and convenience stores serving them.
Past the hotels, the soi turns residential, with a mix of older apartment blocks and newer condominiums at asking rents below what the Soi 24 side commands. The trade-off is the walk: from mid-soi, the BTS is a solid ten minutes or a quick motorbike-taxi hop.
